As a research network, one of the Institute for Circumpolar Health Research’s primary functions is to forge links between universities, research institutes, independent scholars, community groups, youth, and health authorities in the Canadian north and beyond. - secretariat for the Canadian Society for Circumpolar Health.

- secretariat (NWT) for the Social Economy Research Network of Northern Canada.
- secretariat for the 14th International Congress on Circumpolar Health in Yellowknife, July 2009.
- host institute for Public Health Officer (PHAC)
- host institute for Research Affiliate Program (PHAC, Queen’s, U of T)
- host institute for the Northern Cochrane Network Site, which provides free access to the Cochrane Library across the three territories.
- member of the International Association of Circumpolar Health Publishers.
- member of the steering committee for the Inuit Health Survey through the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation.
- partner of the Aklavik Health Committee on the Climate Change and Health Determinants Project.
- partner of the Aklavik Health Committee on the Youth & Elders Dietary Choices Pilot Project.
- partner of the Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH)
- partner of the Council of Yukon First Nations, Dene Nation, University of Toronto, and University of Manitoba on the secondary analysis of Regional Health Survey data which will explore Arthritis and chronic diseases in First Nations in the Yukon and Northwest Territories.
- partner of McGill University, GNWT Health and Social Services, and the Public Health Agency of Canada on the NWT HPV Prevalence Study.
- board member of the Canadian Northwest FASD Partnership.
