Nicole Redvers, PhD student
Recipient of ICHR's Grant for Education in Health Studies 2021-2022
Nicole Redvers is a member of the Deninu K’ue First Nation and has worked with various Indigenous patients and communities around the globe helping to bridge the gap between traditional and modern medical systems. She is assistant professor in the Department of Family & Community Medicine at the University of North Dakota and co-founder and board chair of the Arctic Indigenous Wellness Foundation based in the Canadian North. Nicole is continuing her life-long passion for learning at the University of Oxford while continuing to work with her Indigenous Elders in the area of knowledge translation as it pertains to planetary health. She is excited to contribute to research efforts in the north and is grateful for the support she has received in this process.
